All Star Equine Forum - Tickets Now On Sale!

07/07/2010
All Star Equine Forum - Tickets Now On Sale!Zara and Mark Phillips, Ben Maher, Richard and Joe Davison and Emile Faurie head a stellar line-up at the All-Star Equestrian Forum at Addington Manor, Bucks, on October 24, 2010.

The forum aims to mix entertainment with education and, following its successful first running in 2008, will again theme lecture demonstrations and talks on the important but often misunderstood locomotion of the horse, avoidance of athletic injuries and choosing and maintaining the right surface for the wide variety of equestrian disciplines.

The seminar also features Haydn Price, the Team GB official farrier, and Russell Guire of Centaur Biomechanics, who will repeat their successful presentation with Ben Maher, Britain’s top ranked show jumper. Debbie Beasant, a British Dressage-approved trainer who will demonstrate Pilates-based rider warm-up techniques. Dr Rachel Murray of the Animal Health Trust, a world authority on soundness of the competition horse, also returns to lecture.
The seminar is jointly organised by Addington Manor and Martin Collins Enterprises, the UK-market leader in synthetic surface innovation and supply. Proceeds go to the Buckingham Air Ambulance and HEROS, the industry recognised racehorse re-training centre in Berkshire.

Glynnie Walford, managing director of Martin Collins Enterprises, said: “We are thrilled to have secured such an amazing line-up of riders and lecturers. In particular, it will be fun to see the family pairs of Zara and Mark and Richard and Joe working together, though there is a serious side to the day too. We hope everyone leaves feeling they have learned something valuable.

“Martin Collins has accumulated a wealth of knowledge about equine locomotion over the years, and passing it on is one small way of ‘putting-back’ into the sport. We are delighted to be involved again.”

The forum commences at 10 a.m.  Tickets cost £10 (exclusive of refreshment), available from www.mceltd.com/arenas, with credit card payment by phoning 01488 71100, or by visiting the Martin Collins trade stand at the following shows: Royal International Horse Show, Hickstead; Festival of Eventing, Gatcombe; British Dressage Championships, Stoneleigh Park; Young Horse Championships, Addington Manor.
